An 4 week beginners yoga course suitable for total beginners, or those coming back to yoga and wanting to refresh their practice. What interests you about yoga? You might want to improve your strength, or your flexibility. You might want to find ways to reduce your stress, and find some time to yourself. What scares you aboutyoga? Is it that you aren’t flexible or strong? As the meme goes, you don’t go to yoga because you ARE flexible, you go to GET flexible. You have to start somewhere! Perhaps you feel you don’t have time (or deserve time) to develop your own practice. But learning to breathe through adversity, find balance, find how to be centred and let go of stressors makes more time because you handle things better. Yoga is about more that what we do on the mat – we carry it off the mat too.
The four week course is a structured introduction to the theory (just a tiny bit) and practice of yoga, and includes deep relaxation, warming up of the joints and muscles, a little about breathing, yoga postures with each person working at their own level, and an introduction to meditation.
